Quincy is a growing farm-and-tech town in Grant County, about 10 miles north of I-90 and roughly a half-hour drive southeast of Wenatchee. Just 7 miles west, Crescent Bar sits on a bend of the Columbia River below basalt cliffs, with condos, a marina and a 9-hole golf course. Together they offer some of the most affordable housing in the region plus a true resort-style getaway.

The vibe
Quincy is a working agricultural town (the valley has more than 200,000 irrigated acres) that has also become home to major data centers, including Microsoft. Crescent Bar is quieter in winter and busy in summer with boaters, golfers and concert-goers.
Outdoor recreation
Crescent Bar has a marina, boat launches, beaches and a riverside walking trail. The Gorge Amphitheatre is about 10 miles southwest of Quincy, and Ancient Lakes and Frenchman Coulee are close by for hiking, climbing and biking.
Housing types
In-town single-family homes and newer subdivisions in Quincy, condos and townhomes at Crescent Bar, Sunland Estates summer homes, and farmland and acreage across the Quincy Valley.
Things to know before you buy
- Crescent Bar condos. Many units are individually owned and some are rented to visitors. Review HOA documents, rental rules and fees carefully. The recreation area itself is owned by Grant County PUD.
- Second homes and rentals. Check current Grant County and City of Quincy short-term rental rules before counting on rental income.
- Farmland and water. Irrigation district water rights and assessments matter on acreage. See my water rights guide.
- Commute. Quincy is in Grant County, so taxes, utilities and permitting differ from Wenatchee.
